Feature Friday - Sandra P Photography

Today for Feature Friday, I will be showcasing a fresh young photographer named Sandra Pan. Her company, Sandra P Photography, has been keeping her on her toes for about 9 years. Please enjoy a little peak at her work and some thoughts about her love for photography.
What is the inspires your work?  Love...I think simply put, love is the inspiration. I love to capture weddings particularly because I get to see so much love in the room. It always amazes me that every couple I have shot I can't help but think these two people were meant for one another.
What advice would you give to a bride looking for a wedding photographer?  I know that often budget is a concern but I would say never negotiate quality work because of budget. Spend that extra money to afford a better photographer. You want to pay more for good images and not save money for bad images.
Share the details behind one of the most unforgettable wedding moments you have captured. One of my most memorable weddings was Kristin and Joe's wedding at McCormick Ranch. It was so beautifully done and the couple was a joy to be around. There was so much love between them. I especially love this image shown because of Joe's unscripted look on his face as they showered them with lavender leaving the church. And the joy on Kristin's face is just unforgettable.

What do you love most about working with brides?  I become friends with them! And I have been very blessed to have worked with amazing ladies!

What is your favorite aspect of shooting weddings?  I love listening to the vows, I almost always get teary eyed. I love capturing and sharing the love story between two people. It's such a huge responsibility and yet so fulfilling.

Feature Friday with Amour Bijou

It's Feature Friday time once again! If you have noticed I've collaborated with my friend Josefa Ciccarelli on many projects over the years and they have all been amazingly fun. She has a contagious enthusiasm and drive when she is undertaking projects. With even more passion and inspiration she created her accessory line, Amour Bijou, in 2008. I hope you enjoy her beautiful creations and the small glimpse at what inspires her designs.
How would you describe your design style?
I am a designer of two extremes. I love the vintage old world look, but I also love the fun and whimsical look; always with a touch of sparkle! I love to create pieces that are made with high quality materials that my customer would want to wear over and over again.

What inspires your designs?
I definitely pull inspiration from travel and nature. There is so much beauty and history in the world. When I walk around the old neighborhoods of Italy or Paris it inspires my vintage and romantic designs. When I walk into Dylan's Candy Shop in New York it inspires my fun and whimsical designs. I always look forward to traveling to a new place because I know I will come back full of ideas and excited to work on new projects.

What tips do you have for brides looking for the perfect accessory?
Make sure to pick something out that you LOVE and says "YOU". Think about what kind of look you want to go for and never settle for anything less then what you envision. Whether it's traditional or not you don't want to buy something you are going to look at 20 years from now and say, "what in the world was I thinking".

What do you love most about designing accessories for brides?
Talking to brides about their wedding day! I am obsessed with weddings, so I love hearing about all the little details of their special day. What their theme is, what colors they are using, where they are having the wedding and so on. And to take their inspiration and be able to create something for them that they love and will feel beautiful and confident wearing. It is truly a rewarding experience.

What is your favorite accessory from your line thus far?
I would have to say my silk organza flower with Swarovski crystal center. I just love the way it looks on brides. The soft and delicate layers of organza mixed with the gorgeous sparkle say "love" to me. And that's what a wedding is all about!

For the first Feature Friday post I'd like to introduce you to Diana Rush of Diana Rush Photography. She officially started her company in 2009 after having a life long love for photography.  Diana is based in Orange County where she has lived her entire life. I actually met Diana at the Lover.ly Meet Up I shared about recently so it was great reconnecting with her for this post. I hope that through this brief interview you can get a sense for her passion and talent for photography as I have displayed some of her work throughout the post.

What inspires your work? Although I'm not a nature photographer, I am very inspired by nature, and the elements (wind, water, earth, fire) and love finding ways to capture the natural movement of my clients rather than force them in to a pose.  I draw a lot of inspiration from my clients as I'm photographing them, as I spend time learning their natural laugh & how they interact with their soon to be spouse.
