Pictures of My Weekend

This weekend was full of errands in preparation for my first bridal show-The Bellisima Bride Bridal Show in Valencia. Although I had a lot of things to accomplish in a short period of time I still managed to have some fun along the way.

My best friend kept me company while I was driving around picking up supplies and we stole a chance to get a mani/pedi. I tried a new color by Essie called Turquoise & Caicos. Love it!

A glimpse of my Bridal Show display! (more to come)

After the show I had a late lunch at the mall and snagged a couple necklaces at Forever 21!
A little bling for $10.80!
This adorable elephant for $6.40!

A bridal show post will be up soon!

Bridal Makeup: Sonia Gutierrez

I had the pleasure of meeting Sonia Gutierrez when my good friends over at Digishots Photography referred me to her. Nate & Samantha Hines are the husband and wife team that own Digishots. They have over 20 years of experience photographing weddings. It is always a pleasure to work with them - Nate is a riot! I'm so excited to share the beautiful photos  they took of Sonya! She has a wonderful and sincere spirit that radiates through her smile.

Love that smile!

LOVING - Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

It's so fun to share about beauty products that I've fallen in love with! Every week I will attempt to share about something in world of beauty that I think is extra special. This week the eyes have it!

What I love about it:
  • Formula: gentle & fragrance free
  • Texture: super smooth & perfectly balanced (not too dry or oily)
  • Benefits: enhances the life of eyeshadow without creasing, hence the name "smudge proof"
  • Versatility: works well with all types of shadows - creams & powders
Give it a try I'm sure you'll love it too! And when you do let me know what you think!

Pictures of My Weekend

Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. I had a fabulous time! Check out some photos that will give you a glimpse into the fun time I had.

It's always wonderful to spend Saturday morning dolling up a gorgeous girl whose anticipating her wedding. That's exactly what I did Saturday and it was a blast! Stay tuned for the professional photos taken by the fabulous Gloria Mesa!

My lovely client looked stunning in her dress!

Then in the evening my husband and I had dinner in Old Town Pasadena. After dinner we walked around, ate dessert and checked out some of the shops.

My yummy dinner of halibut piccata at Russell's!

For dessert I had a delicious coconut & lime vanilla cupcake from Dots!

We stumbled upon this guy while looking around, pretty cool huh!

After church Sunday we headed over to a free concert, fireworks show and art exhibit in Exposition Park.

We learned so much about Authur Mitchell and his amazing work with
the Dance Theater of Harlem when we checked out the
"Dance Theater of Harlem 40 Years of Firsts" exhibit at CAAM!
So inspirational!

This beautiful vintage locket is filled with a lovely note. Doesn't everyone love a handwritten note?

The simple accordion fold is a clever step that makes this idea versatile enough for any size or style locket.

Brooch Necklace

With statement necklaces being all the rage, this brooch necklace is perfect for the fashionistas in your bridal party. Add a personal touch by finding pieces that reflect your bridesmaids personality.
